What is the difference between interface, explanation, and target languages in Tomaru?
Tomaru separates language support into three distinct roles so you can customize your learning environment:
- Interface language: The language used for the app's menus, buttons, navigation, and system messages.
- Explanation language: The language used for translations, grammar notes, and definitions on vocabulary cards. This is a property of each specific word list, chosen when you install or create a list.
- Target language: The language you are actively studying and building vocabulary for.
You can set your app interface to one language while installing word lists that explain target vocabulary in a different language.
