Flashcards are missing or out of date on one device
Out-of-sync card data across devices is usually caused by an inactive network connection, signing into different accounts, or an unrefreshed app state.

If your flashcards, lists, or study progress appear missing or out of date on one device compared to another, your account data has likely not synchronized yet.
Check the following common causes to restore sync across your devices:
Why are cards not syncing between devices?
- Check your network connection: Review progress and scheduling updates cannot save to your account or sync across devices while your device is disconnected from the internet.
- Signed into different accounts: Verify that you are signed into the exact same Tomaru account on all devices. Check whether you logged in with an email address versus Apple or Google single sign-on.
- App needs to be refreshed: If the app remained open in the background, it may be displaying cached data. Fully closing and reopening Tomaru forces the app to fetch your latest account state.
If you have verified your network connection, confirmed account details, and reopened the app, but your card data remains out of date, please contact support for assistance.

Can I study offline and sync my card reviews later?
No. Tomaru requires an active internet connection to log reviews and calculate memory intervals, so offline review syncing is not supported.
How do I force Tomaru to update my study progress?
Fully close the app on your device and open it again with an active internet connection to fetch the latest account data.
Who do I contact if my progress is still missing?
If verifying your account login and connection does not resolve the issue, contact Tomaru support directly for account troubleshooting.
